Ha ha - nearest Yamaha Dealer - Robin Curnow Outboards, Penryn - guess he won't be happy with me hanging around there next Friday night asking if I've won the R1 :lol: :lol:

I went to the launch at Irelands in Barnstaple. I really don't like it!!

Firstly they had it in white with that ghastly red frame/ swingarm (heard someone say why have they painted the frame and swingarm in Hammerite! :lol: ). Secondly, I really hate the exhausts and exhaust covers and I hate the way the lower fairing stops very short on the engine.

Does look a lot better in blue but I still prefer last years model. I'll probably take one out for a play and that might change my mind. I hated the new R6 when they were first released, now I'm riding one :oops: , new R1 might be similar (although I haven't got a spare £10k)

Yes will definatly be looking for a test ride :D will be comparing it with the new V4 Aprillia :wink: which i have already booked a test ride on :D when it arrives. :roll:
