I've been riding on the road since my 16th birthday, passed my test 2 days after my 17th birthday, and i've had my full license for 7 months now!

Really enjoying it, have always loved bikes and i was bought up with them, my dad has owned countless...

I knocked up 11,000 miles on my 50cc Aprilia, and i've already done 10,000 in the 7 months that i've owned my bike. :D

Good on ya !

But I'm prepared to put money on you giving up within a year.

20 years after that, you'll be a BAB.

It's a familiar pattern.

I have no reason to give up bikes, i love them and i love riding. I have little to no interest in cars so... Dont know what else to say really!

How about you do put money on me giving up within a year then? Go on, lets say a grand, since you're so sure

This is what'll happen.

The Women will start coming along, and you'll want to take them out, but they're not going to jump on the back of your bike and get their hair messed up.

And so you get a car, and leave bikes beind, only to return 20 years later, saying, as all BABS do, that you were always a biker really.

Trust me on this, it will happen and that I can guarantee.

Guarantee all you like. It wont happen because for one, at the moment i am not giving up bikes. It has not once crossed my mind and it never will. I cant affort to do my drivers license, let alone afford insurance on a car :o Even if the women do come along. If they want to go out, we'll get in a Taxi.

Thats soooo nice and encouraging of you, a young guy who is clearly stoked to be riding bikes and being part of a great fellowship, why not go and put him down straight away. Please explain why do you feel the need to be such a c u nt to someone you neither know or has given you any reason to be?

I'm not being offensive.

Just stating what I believe to be fact, based on experience.

Believe me, I hope I am wrong, but I do not believe I am, but of course, only time will tell.

Perhaps I was being a bit selfish giving him a year.

I'll give him two, ABSOLUTE TOPS :D

I'm intridged do you totally not agree with what Stately just wrote or not agree with the way he put it ??

I mean the quote he oringally put to young Mr Robbie 46

Me personally can see where he is coming from but he deserves a negative response but wording it so insensitively.

Sorry Stately you have the wit and wisdom me thinks just not the people and social skills to express it all correctly :?

I have to wonder,

If he can guarantee that a person would give up then be a born again biker then logically it would follow the assumption that he followed the same pattern otherwise he cannot be so sure of a statement as he himself is the exception to the rule...

Dude(tte) if you are really a troll, you're not a very good one as you don't even have full proof arguments, just ones with holes in as big as the space between your ears. Oh yes and please stop wasting oxygen.

But you still haven't explained WHY you thought it was necessary to make such a pointlessly derogatory comment, when you don't know the guy.

So according to you, thats 1 year, 7 months, then quit.

Wish I could wind back the clocks and bet everything on the same thing for me. Been riding 2 years and 8 months.

Had a bird that tried to make me stop riding and start driving, I fuc ked her off very quickly.
