This is now trying to happen in Honiton BP. After fueling there ever since being back on a bike, having the same bike all that time and being personally known by 3 staff( 1 of which is my neice  ) I went in to pay last week and was told by some troll that I had to remove my lid next time so that the CCTV could see me

So I just stood there and shouted back " ear plugs in, I can't hear you"

Fueled again since and no one said anything :D
Apparently I'm supposed to care!!

If you guys want to use a friendly petrol station use the Shell Garage on the A38/A380 - we don't discriminate against bikers (i wouldn't allow it!)

you can get a little free petrol..(probably totally illegal  but..) once you've filled up, put the filling hosepipe thing back on the pump, then when it's clicked off.. take the hose back off and try to fill abit more up.. whats left in the pipe then empties out. haha i always do this now.. when i had my 50cc what empties out would do me a couple of days riding 8)

From what I believe, any fuel in the pipe has already registered on the pump so you aren't actually getting anything free, just ensuring that you get all the fuel you have paid for!!

BP petorl garage in Torquay, Hele.
Near enough every petrol garage me and the wife go to I stay on the bike with my helmet on to refuel while she pays with helmet off.
What's the problem?
BP shouted to me "take your helemet off", then shook his head and called me a [idiot].
It was too young boys.
Then after only putting 5.27 into my tank they cut off my supply and refused to sell me more petrol.
I for one will never be going to BP again!
Your views and replies would be much appreciated.

Thats disgusting!

I do sometimes take my lid off but thats only cos when i was on my L plates about 10 years ago i always remember seeing a polite notice on the door asking for helmets to be removed before entering the shop however i have never seen a sign/notice asking for helmets to be removed prior to fueling only notice's about mobile phone, engine off etc.
I do hate some attendents thou some do think they are a lawe into themselves, i was once filling my van which when i do so i put a little pin throu the handle and flick the latch over so i dont have to hold the thing, but BP on holden hill turned the pump off and insisted it was against the law!!??? so i said well why have the latch on it then?

If i were you i would just double check that there is no signs even take pics of the ones that are there, try to get there names then write a really shirty letter to BP head office, never know you may recieve some money off vouchers etc!
