Not quite the same as this though is it?.. I road it for a week or so because the cable had snapped, the buyer knew I was doing this and I must have put about 50-100 miles max which weren't counted for and the bike was sold with a new cable fitted etc. (I don't know if what I've just sed is totally accurate to the letter.. as you said it was 'few months back', so before you start digging back though my posts trying to quote me and make me look like im wrong don't bother..  )

And this is a bit different to the above... I didn't purposly dismantle the speedo and wind the clock back, and then try and cover it up by sticking paint and sh!t round it.. just to add a selling point to the bike.. :|

And for your words about the cam chain etc. Thanks, the bike isnt showing any signs that the chain needs replacing or anything yet.. it's just that the tensioner loosened and the chain broke on my mates R6 the other day and did the valves etc right over.. his bike had done 35-40K and cam chain should have been replaced.. So it's just got me wandering now whether things like the cam chain have ever been serviced/checked/replaced on my bike and now I have no telling how far the bike has been..so I can't tell what is due for servicing and so on.. not like stickin a few miles on a 3 year old 50cc unintentionally due to a mechanical fault.

you can check MOT history online these days on the dvla website, only go back 3 or 4 years I think, but you might be able to check for any discrepancies :)
