Cheap pain sprayer needed

Post by RobG »

I tried to spray my seat cowl by hand, the paint Halfords made for me isnt right  and the finish is crap  . Its only a small cowl so wondered if anyone knew a cheap sprayer who is happy to do the job?

You can get decent results with a spray can (as long as the paint is the right type and colour)
If you CLICK HERE and check out this web site. I have used them for metallic paint and they sent me a perfect match. Would definately recommend them !!!!

A friend/business partner of my Sisters parnter spray's complete bikes, he's just finished one, and is now doing the rear end for my TL1000R...

If you got something he can match what colour you want against, like a body pannel etc, he can get it matched and do the spraying for you, only thing is to get it all sanded down with fine grade P600 before you give it to him, so he can get the primer on, clear, base, clear and then fine/rub down to get it looking really nice!

Let me know if you need his sevices, I need to call him to see if he's finished mine yet, will ask him how he's doing for free time :)

There's a place in Exeter called Smartworld that usually do cars, but they'd be able to do it for you.

Look them up in the Yellow Pages & get a quote, they also mix their own paint so you'll get a perfect match 8)

I recommend Jerry (Jerry's Refinishers) in Alice Street (Just off Union Street in Plymouth). He did my Union Jack

I thought Mr leach was a mechanic not a sprayer - doesn't he just contract out the spray work anyway?

Jerry's Motorcycle Refinishing is about the best quality sprayer in Plymouth. Not to badly priced but not overly cheap either.

Top notch work though - he did the left panel and top cowl of My K1 750 when the damm thing fell off the stand it put scratch marks right through the GSXR logo. After he got his hands on the panel it was impossible to tell it had ever hit the deck.

probably overkill just to single colour spray a seat cowl mind.
