Berik leathers?

Berik leathers?
Currently on the search for some one piece leathers. Seen some good prices on Berik stuff. Anyone know much about the brand?? Pretty sure its the same as Arlen Ness stuff.
Also, be interesting to know what the sizing is like. I'm currently wearing an Alpinestars 2 piece in Uk size 44 which fits ok. Tried a size44 Teknic suit down SP on Sunday and could barely get 1 leg in!! (tried a 46 which I just squeezed into but it was too long in the leg!)
Kind of puts me off buying online if I'm not sure it'll fit!!

Re: Berik leathers?
check out my thread on donny. i have/had a berik motogp suit and cant praise it enough. came off at over 125 and its still in one peice, well impressed with how well it stood up to the demands of a big accident. am so happy with it that im looking at the newer version thats currently reduced in j&s
the suit fits really well and is made of good quality leather with good stitching ( so gerry says
). the zips have stood up to the test of time well and havent split anywhere. overall its a well made good quality suit that i wouldnt hesitate to recommend

sizing is as you'd expect, a 44 would be the same as most other 44's. and yes its made by madif industries who make all the arlen ness products

I took advantage of the Heine Gricke offer 25% discount with voucher, and got the new Arlen Ness Magnesium suit and really llike it and as Deej says its made by the same people as Berik use.
In fact I got the Berick gloves at the same time and it all matches giving me the total gear whore look
Although the knee sliders do wear quicker than my Alpine Stars...

Re: Berik leathers?
My Arlen Ness ones by the same manufacturer did me well at Combe today, not sure how fast I was going but both me and the bike came to rest on the tire wall so had a fair amount of speed behind me.
Only damage is fancy letter has come off, Magnesium skids plates are worn and dented in the shoulder and teh colour has scuffed up some.
Suffice to say I'd go for the berik, not sure my Alpinestars 2 pievce would have left so sanguoine about the matter

Re: Berik leathers?
The kit is worth it, looking at mine hanging up makes me gald I invested in it to be honest.
As for the noise testing, went straight through with the standard can, apparantly the weather makes a difference....
My mate took his K5 thou up which struggled to get through and the baffle that he put in strangled it above 8k.
Was a great day and worth all the trouble etc, really looking forward to 10th July now, just need to get the race fairings on order!!!

Re: Berik leathers?
Well after all my praise for berik leathers I just went into SP motorcycles and walked out with a new pair of teknic violator leathers that were reduced in the sale. Granted there black n silver but for 250 notes I couldn't say no especially as they'll match the haga lid that's on order. Quality wise there isn't much between them and the beriks either

Re: Berik leathers?
Tried some of those last Sunday. Couldn't get into the size 44!! Just squeezed into the 46's but were too long in the leg. I was dissapointed as thats a great price. Hopefully the Beriks will fit better.deej wrote:Well after all my praise for berik leathers I just went into SP motorcycles and walked out with a new pair of teknic violator leathers that were reduced in the sale. Re: Berik leathers?
Update
Went down J&S last friday to try on a few suits. Ended up coming away with a Berik Motogp suit (kangaroo hide) in Black/ Silver/ Grey. Tried on both cowhide and roohide and couldn't beleive the difference in fit, comfort and weight- hopefully not sacrificing protection!
Also top marks to J&S . Nothing was too much trouble. Was able to wander out and try both suits on the bike, and they packaged up my old gear to be sent on to me at a fair price.
One thing I didn't budget for was a back protector- didn't realise one piece suits were cut loose on the back for fitment of one!! Currently bidding on a Knox Stowaway on ebay!!
Check out my Alpinestars leather jacket in the for sales section!!
