Help needed with insurance please!?.. :s

Right, I'm with MCE paying £420 3rd party fire and theft on my ZXR400. I'm buying a ZX6R and MCE are quoting £2000+ for 3rd party only. . I'm only 4 months through my £420 on the policy for my ZXR.. can I claim back what I have effectively 'not used'. I'm guessing there will be a cencellation charge?..

I've been quoted just under £800 for 3rd party only on the 6R by other insurers so if I can get as much of my £420 back from MCE it would really help. Unfortunatly MCE's phone lines aren't open at 11pm so i'm hoping their's someone on here that can give me an answer before tomorow!

check the small print as theres usually a cancellation fee, how did you pay your premium,monthly or one off.

ask mce if they'll match the quote youve received from another company as you dont really want to waste those first few claims free months youve had

But yeh you can claim it back. I was with EBike with my CBR 125. Paid around 400 had insurance for about 2 months then cancelled and got about 280 back if i remeber. I think it was around £50 for the cancellation fee

Yeh i will do i'll ring them tomorow. I paid one off becuase it turned out nerly double if i paid monthly!! .. does anyone know any really good insurers? i'l get a quote from the one u were with jack.. aparently admiral are cheap..?..

just shop around and use all the comparion sites then go direct to them for a cheaper price

Keep shopping around tom,now you've got some better quotes of the net its the time to ring them and haggle them down a bit more by using the cheapest quote you've had. You should save a few more quid off that price

My last 2 insurers were swinton and hastings direct, both cheap n cheerful
