Re: My new bike :D
got to agree with scotty that green ones are quicker, although the blacks are lighter due to the lack of a top coat or paint or two

Black and Red G1 was best.....
The G1 was a cracking bike whatever colour. Had mine for 4 years before swapping it for a CB900. First bike I took abroad. Can remember sitting on a autobaan with a group of mates at 150mph and haveing a 5 series BMW wooshing past (wow), Me and the other half bought one each at same time and managed to get number plates 1 digit apart, she had to go for the green one.
Shame she never got on with it, she found it just a little to big for her in size and felt it simply accelerated to quick for her comfort zone. She swopped it for a Monster and never looked back which is fair enough.
The G1 had a issue with the intial batch of cam chain tensioners, when first released they used a slightly differenet design to the F series which didn't work. If you find it sounds noisy may be worth swopping it, get one from kawasaki, 2 bolts and it pulls out and you push the new one in. Just a little tight for getting to.
