Right,I've seen a cracking deal for some metzeller racetecs. The only issue I have is they are a k0 compound front a k1 compound rear. How soft are these tyres and will the front last a hopefully hot august day at silverstone gp circuit. Never used them before in that low a compound and don't want to be buying another front halfway through the day
Cheers

Depends how you ride and how consistent you are. The tyres are sticky but have quite a tight operating temperature range. If you get stuck behind someone and lose temperature it can take best part of a lap to get them up to speed again.
Dont even think about using them without tyre warmers.
On a 600 you should have no problem getting a full day out of them as long as your suspension is ok. But again, it totally depends on your riding style. I can get 3 track days out of a Supersorsa front and destroy a rear a day and they are the same tyre made in the same factory but I tend to only brake upright and try to carry as much corner speed as I can on a 600. On my blade I used to brake hard, turn and then nail it out of the corner.
Bit non commital I know but its just my tuppence worth. Let me know how you get on. I'm doing Almeria in October and quite fancy trying something V sticky on the last day.

Yeah will do tom
Will probably order them later on,have warmers so that's not a issue. I'm hoping that the inters won't have too many slow ones in it but then I'll be taking it steady and getting my confidence back. As its a 3 pack deal I'm not too worried about wrecking the rear in a day as I'll have a spare one at home !!
