Scorpion Helmets ??

Post by Blimey »

Anyone know of any negatives about these or know of anyone who owns one ??

http://www.cmsexeter.co.uk/product_info ... ts_id/2673

Even got an inflateable cheeks and a fab drop down sunglass style tinted visor, so no need to carry a spare visor again

Been trying new helmets out lately and still havin the same prob of AGV just not suiting my funny shape head as awell as most other brands.

Doing Trackdays i know you need to buy at the topper end of the market even if some reviews do prove different

Even the latest Shoei models are feeling uncomfortable, but have found that CMS in Exeter still stock the older Shoei Z ONE model i have but not in the XS size

This Scorpion seems to fit brilliant but don't and never really heard alot about them witrh regards to helmets

spoke to the guy in just bikers today about them as i'd seen them before but didnt know much about them

apparently theyre the 2nd largest helmet manufacturer in the world behind hjc, mainly due to being american and the damn size of the place i guess. people are importing them now as its cheaper to import from the states than europe so i'd be wary of how long they'll be around and what the spares/back up is like

not sure about the blow up cheek pads thing, made me think that the cheek pads arent quite upto the job like a arai would do

I've got one of the Scorpion EXO-1000 and to be honest, I'm very, very impressed. I have now had it for 4 weeks and really find the helmet just works for me. The airfit cheek pads don't get used that much as the helmet is new and it fit really well already but have tried it on the M5 and just a couple of 'pumps' really does reduce the wind noise. So far I can't find fault in it.

PS Visor change is a doddle compared to my old Arai
