Bikeless !!!

Post by freeze »

  Had the official confirmation today. GT reckoned £3400 worth of damage, while the insurance assessor said 2900 today, hence my bike is now a cat c writeoff.   Wanted £800 for salvage value, so gave go ahead to scrap. Once wrist is ok and payment is made will be on the look out for another bike. May try a 4 cylinder next!!
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

GT's aren't cheap on their quotes. Its labour charges on top of products at full rrp. I think all the big boys work along the lines of we'll over quote and hope you buy a bike here. Hope you get a good payout from the insurers

I cant honestly believe theres £3400's worth of damage. I would buy the bike back, spent the £200 getting it back to new then sell it for a lot more than it's cost you, then buy a '99 R1 (with all optional GHD accessories)

Whatever happens, do not buy a bike from GT so they dont get any cash from you.
