Police state is on its way....

Post by Jak »

http://onlinenews.warwickshire.police.u ... ruisersFac

At first I thought yeah great, get rid of the chavs. Then I realised ... rideouts ... Westbay ... Jaspers ... all could be interpreted as illegal and you could lose your bike, get a big fine or even get locked up

What's the betting other councils will follow Warwickshire's example!!!!

The police state is already here. Warwickshire is the same force who have tried to ban the Bulldog Bash for the last two years. Spending vast amounts of public money on something that the local community is not in support of should be made a criminal offence. Last year Warwickshire spent around 1.4 million quid and searched 545 people on their way to or from the Bulldog Bash resulting in 3 convictions. However two weeks prior to the bash on the same site is Global gathering, several arrests for violence 2 stolen cars several arrests for drug offences, and theft, yet Warwickshire does nothing to try and stop an event which all the locals are unhappy about and continues to issue spurious claims about the Bulldog bash none of which have been backed up with any evidence.
We are already the most monitored society in the world, the data bases that exist on all of us are far greater than any that existed in Soviet Russia, we are constantly photographed as we go about our LAWFUL business, subject to invasive investigation techniques by councils to check we are not over filling our bins etc.
Anti terror laws are routinely used against anyone who dissents against the government point of view, DNA databases, monitoring of internet traffic and mobile phone traffic are increasing out of all proportion.
Police state on it's way, don't fool yourself it's already here.

The place they're talking about; 'Hams Hall' used to be very popular with bikers years ago, I went along a few times, some serious street racing as well as some hardcore stunting used to happen there. That was before the chavs got onto it though.

One comment I would make is that when I went there it was very dangerous and bad accidents were common, if the the chavs were as bad as some of the bikers then I am not at all suprised it's been shut down. No way the authorities could be seen to be letting that go on.

Sort of like the magic roundabout at Holten Heath, though that place was much safer and lower key.

Chelsea bridge was another one that fell victim to draconian policing. I used to go fairly regularly when I was a courier in London and it was quite incredible watching GT550s and old CX500s complete with topboxes being wheelied over Chelsea bridge. There was an old Mk2 cortina used to show up with a sound system in it that kicked out more decibels than concorde taking off, he couldn't fire it up with the wondows closed as it would pop the windscreen, it was fitted with disco lights and a smoke machine inside it!!!!
But as with many of these impromptu events it gained notoriety quickly and was soon being harrassed by the old bill every time and people started to drift away elsewhere.
Boxhill was another one which did get very dangerous for a time, a few years ago someone wheelying a blade took out a load of spectators and then did a runner leaving the bike, it was seized, crushed and then placed on a plynth by the entrance by the plod as a warning to people.
As long as people remain sensible at places there should be no reason to shut them down.

how can they prove you were riding together and not just coincdentially on the same stretch of road. Other wise a traffic jam would be a mass crime

Don't get me started.......

Worst offenders.........biking events that support 'charity', in the vain attempt to curry favour with the local council/bill.
