If you say you had a bandit, why are you upgrading to an SV?
Sv 71 bhp
bandit 80 bhp
Acording the bikez.com anyway.

Had a go on a 03 sv, loved the engine how low down the power was, if a bit bland compared to my r6.
But the suspension, is on par with my diversion.

Never go via the parkers web site the BHP are normal close but the prices are about 3 odd months behind ! found this out the hard way.

The SV650s are great bike I had the older model for about a year before upgrading but have taken out a couple new shape onces and they are great bikes.

That price is too much considering a brand new one is £3999 with 2 year warranty etc!

I have an SV and had the suspension changed to hagon internals and hagon monoshock because the suspension is cheap and non-compliant at high speed. It is not dangerous but under damped when your speed increases. It costs about £300 to sort the suspension out buy after that it is a great bike.

I have had mine for over years and still find it fun even though I originally wanted a CBR600RR.
Blue Sv650s Curvey - Now unrestricted but starting to find the suspension a problem.
Next bike: CBR600RR eventually.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
