Damerells Dissapointment

Damerells Dissapointment

Despite my better judgement after previous encounter with another bike, took my cb500 to damerells for MOT... :)

despite having full size number plate thats passed previous mot's they failed it for incorrect border AND incorrect spacing of letters - 3mm out. :(

retest fee £15. :x

out of principle took it to a real world bike shop with new plate, who said he wouldn't have failed old one (that i took along)
(previous encounter was along similar lines - small debateable failure)

spare me the 'oh its the rules' - common sense should come into it. since then have heard that they do that for business. last time i go there then.
rant over.

Simple answer is not to use Damerells again, especially as it appears that you've had issues with them previously.
It's as easy as saying " I'd better not hit myself on the head with this hammer as last time it hurt" "Oh maybe if I do it again it won't hurt this time" " Oh shit it still hurts"

Always to go to an MOT station that doesn't have workshop facilities. Then they have no incentive to fail you to try and make some extra cash out of you.

be interested to see the new manual, last time I looked at the MOT manual is said how it had to be laid out, but nothing about the actual size or style of the letters

passing an MOT and the bike being road legal are 2 very different things LOL
