many people had experiences with these? been looking at naked bikes recently and ive got a frined selling one for a good price! its on 24k with full service history, i would prefer something with lower mileage but for the price and condition i cant complain really. anything to look out for? would you buy one with that mileage on?

Not bad bikes, they benefit from having the inlet rubber swapped for FJ1200 items which unrestricts the inlet tracts, a Dynojet kit & K&N replacement filter, and a decent 4into1 system liberates a bit more power and especially torque.
FJ1100 cams drop in and are the best in terms of performance over the FJ12 and XJR cams. They can produce vast horsepower. I've just done one for someone with a Doug Kiddie Billet stroker crank, Carrillo H beam forged rods, billet bigblock and Arias forged pistons, APE heavy duty case studs and cylinder studs, billet manual camchain tensioner etc, giving 1640cc with a Dom Trickett race ported head with Kibblewhite oversize stainless valves, and Megacycle 368 cams with Mikuni RS40 flatslides, lock up clutch and Dyna2000 ignition system, with a nice big bottle of gas hanging off the side of it. Power comes in at around the 200bhp mark with another 70bhp at the push of a button. A 10 grand motor with similar power to a motoGP bike, in a braced frame with a Spondon braced drag arm with built in catch tanks and air shifter reseviour. It will light the rear tyre and wheely at the same time off the throttle in 3rd gear. So yes there's plenty of things you can do to them.
