It happens all the time... not just for driving offences also. He may have a history of driving whilst disqualified...

Good point. I reckon the press have a tendancy to not publish ALL the information of the court case, and there may well have been other factors to take into consideration. ok, i know he was riding like a [willy], but take a look at the punnishment - does it fit the crime and would they do the same to a car driver ?????
