I find the main problem with mopeds is that if you get one that is 4 years old (Or similar), there is always chance that it has been ridden to death. I bought my CPI SM50 back in October as it needed a whole new top end. The previous owner probably ran it out of 2smoke. Mine also has been bodged to the max, screws rounded, cable ties holding things on etc. However my dad is a very 'Professional' Person. He hates to see something not right. So we spent a good £300 on rebuilding it to a decent standard.

And to be fair, its going lovely. I've been riding since 3rd of February (My 16th b'day), and *Touch Wood* its still going strong. Deristricted kit, Chain and Sprockets, Doppler Reeds etc. And its pulling a good 55 flat, and i've had it up to 66 downhill. Far from slow for a 50. Enough to keep with traffic etc.
My dad got me into bikes to give me another hobby, and to be fair. When he turned up with my CPI i was so chuffed. Best b'day present so far, even with having to rebuild it all. Now i have my own independance, and sort of feel grown up (Finally).

Bits for it are hard to get if i'm honest. We had to go to main dealers to get them to get bits and pieces for us. And its also an AM6 replica engine, some AM6 parts will fit. Others wont. So its kind of annoying that way. But apparantly the AM6 engine is a straight swap. So parts are more easy to get hold of.

Just thought i'd put my 2p's worth in.
