Moto GP: 'ave a punt

Post by Tom L »

As it's nearly (finally!) moto GP season again i was wondering anyone bets any money on the races? I went to a bookies last season but could only place bets on championship results and im more interested in just betting a few quid on each race. Stuff like Spies to take a podium or melandri in the top 6 etc. Anyone do this/know how?
i dont have a drinking problem.......if anything, i'm too good at it

Most betting shops will give you odds on any bet, you may just have to ask specifically and wait for them to contact head office to verify wether they'll take it and the odds given. The more obscure a bet or selective a bet will affect the odds. The betting shop always wins!
My father in law ( well -ex) is a betting shop manager, thats how I know!

i used to use betfair quite a lot as they do the more specialist bets that your average high street bookies wouldnt know about

Father in law works for William Hill, think they take most things ( mostly your money!) but today is Grand National so any odd bets today may not get given much attention as any betting shop will be busy as fnuk  .
Online may well be better.

went for skybet in the end as you can bet really small and they offer lots of types of bets rather than just race winner

I went for

Melandri to out qualify Caparossi
Edwards to out qualify Hayden
Spies to take a podium
Lorenzo to win (EW)
rossi to finish ahead of stoner

also put some money on the UFC, going to be an awesome sunday, the only two sports i care about.

I bet a grand total of £4 :D all 25p bets so just for a bit of fun, though a few pay out more than a tenner.

thats not too bad then, ive just had a few quid back from the national winner on my betfair account, but i did have to bet £2 a go so at 25p a pop i might just have to register with skybet and go for a few of those silly little bets as i dont think betfair have that much of a range
