Another Biker Down

Post by ZXR400Lee »

Hey all

Another Biker Down - Me

Came off yesterday morning, cosmetically totalled the bike.

Car coming towards me around a corner, on my side of the white line, swerved to avoid head on collision, but then couldnt make the corner, front wheel just clipped the grass verge on side of road, threw steering out of my hands and high sided the bike. The other car didnt stop, some old faded red car.

Spent morning in hospital, I was wearing protective clothing, so I'm basically OK except a huge hole in my right knee down to bone and aches and pains all over.

Doctor said should be able to walk properly within a month or two, then hopefully back out riding once I fixed the bike back up. Has to be the scariest thing ever!

Nope no witnesses, when the bike landed on the floor the mirror mount bent back and punched a perfect 6mm hole in my petrol tank that I'd just filled to the brim, and being stuck under the bike my leg and foot was completely soaked in petrol. Luckly managed to get free and a man stopped to help about 2 mins later.
