Selling an Engine

Post by Tom L »

I'm breaking a bike for the first time and have no clue what i have to do to sell the engine, im guessing it's something to do with the V5 but other than that not sure what else i need to do? Is it just easier to phone the DVLA and ask them?

Cheers :D

Gaz is correct - V5 stays with frame, you don't have to do anything with the engine.

If the frame is not to be re-used (i.e. Cat A/B write off) then once the bike is disposed of you need to return the V5 to the DVLA and tell them it has been destroyed.
