A re introduction

Post by darren »

Hi,

I was on this site a while ago (didn't post much so I doubt i'll be remembered) decided I need to get back to using my bike more and for fun rather than just the odd trip to work.

For the past 12 months my bike has not really been used as I went through a break up and divorce and due to work, stress and fitting in seeing my son it just got pushed to one side, haven't even managed to use it to travel to work much due to taking my son out when I can in the evenings.

But I have now managed to secure a regular day to see my son and have also just taken up a secondment to work in Yeovil so the plan is to use it to and from work (I live in Bristol)

I've been riding a bike now for 4-5 years i'm on my 3rd i've had a Yamaha Virago and 2 Bandits a 600cc and a 650cc

Image
Here's my Virago when I got this I had just passed my test, I had it restricted to 33bhp this bike was just about getting to and from work, I can't say I enjoyed it at all in fact by the end of my 2 year restriction I hated it, I think that was down to the restriction kit though as the engine just would not run properly

Image
This was my 2nd Bike and the one that really got me into bikes, I loved the red and black and going from a throttled 535cc to the 600cc was awsome.

This is my current bike I had the 600 Bandit for only a couple of months as it had a lot of issues, so traded it in for this, got a really good deal from Fowlers that made buying new worth while, I've left it pretty much standard apart from a Scorpian end can and rear hugger.

Well that's me and my bikes, I will try and drop by as often as possible and I'm looking at the friendly ride on the 11th of next month too.

yep I really like the bandit, although as I have recently got myself a car again and don't need to have a sensible bike I have been thinking of treating myself to something sportier.

As for my son on the friendly he is only 6 and not really ready to go on the bike yet, thanks anyway.

Hey Smiler how's you??
