Surely with only a £2k budget, the best 600 sportsbike for you will be the best available when you have the cash ready to buy, regardless whether it's the Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki or Yamaha - just look at the varied opinions already.
Why buy a rough Yamaha when a tidy Honda is also available (or vice versa).
Go with an open(ish) mind & get the best bike out there - it's a buyers market at the moment.

One question, what sort of riding are you intending to do?
If its hacking around on for fun go with the R6, if it's for distance riding SV or Fazer would probably hurt your arse less, either way enjoy riding it & be safe.
