GSXR 600/750 SRAD?

Post by thelastsuperpower »

I did it, the ninja's sold
Im currently looking at my next potential bike and for my budget, have narrowed it down to either a 750 or a 600 GSXR (carbed SRAD's).
Just wondering which you'd recommend, Im worried that ill be disappointed going from a (relatively) grunty 900cc ninja to a revvy 600cc?
Thoughts/advice anyone?
Bikeless again :/

from 900 def would not go below 750 personally. I have come from a gixer wr 1100 to a k7 750 gixer and am not dissapointed though anything lower power wise and i would have been.

Yeah deffo the 750, after a 900 you'd get real pissed off with having to rag the 600 everytime and everywhere. Still loving the 750 you sold me, still needs some winter fettling but thats part of the joy :D !
Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!

having test ridden an Srad 600 I felt you really had to wring its neck to get the most out of it and i'm no fast rider by a long margin!

I settled for my K1 750 and love it! If you can stretch your budget you will enjoy a K1 much more.

Am I the only one who feels completly different.
Went from an R6 which was compleltly gutless below 12k to a 400.
Id rather rag a bike than have loads of grunt.

I've had allsorts of bikes, Love the grunt of my 1200 Blandit but on the road having fun I must admit I did love my VFR400NC24, the noise of a V4, it had so much grunt throughout the rev range, only thing it lacked was once it got to 110 it didn't pull hard enough, which was fine on the road as you don't do those speeds, but for track days?
Depending on how you ride it sometimes you don't need the extra cubes, but speaking from a guy who is building a GSXR7/11, "there's no replacement for displacement"

The thing I like(d) about the Nine is you ride it like a 600 when you're on a quick blast as not much happens below 7k anyway, but for everyday pootling around, below 7k is plenty.Basically its that flexibility I like about it, the fact I can get to work using no more than 1/4 throttle

Why did I sell it?!

Im currently bidding on a gsxr750 so fingers crossed!
