Devon and Cornwall dibble

Post by Trumpet1050 »

Reliably informed earlier this week, that D&C plod, now have a "non-pursuit" policy for motorcycles.

However, like so many other forces around the country, they also have a new "covert capture" bike, based at Plympton nick. It is apparently an unmarked current range sports bike and not the previously employed unmarked Pan, Blackbird, Busa etc. Informer wasn't 100% sure of bike model and colour, but more when known.

For those that don't know, these bikes are equipped with recording equipment, and will follow/film you gathering evidence, for use in the event of a tug. THEY don't stop you, but will simply radio a marked unit waiting ahead, who will tug you using the evidence gathered by the "covert" bike. It has been said that in some forces, the riders don't wear Police Uniform dress and helmet, making them very difficult to spot.

Keep an eye out for bikes following you in those "naughtier" moments.

Always good to know,

I always let an unknown bike past me and follow them if they want to play.
