Pretty sure not, last i heard they had problems with insurance etc. hence not been run for a couple of years now.

Adam,

From what I understood previously, the whole event was on borrowed time - live RAF base with Joe Public wandering around, burnouts on the runway, even more unlikely now if things are kicking off in Libya etc.

More recently cars used the service roads for the Tour of Cornwall rally but no spectators.

I think the last time I did Portreath was on the KTM in 2007 (10.61secs) but isods law nothing since I bought the Hayabusa.

There's another thread about the Westonzoland sprints, not sure if that is 1/4 or 1/8 mile. Might be worth a run up to see how your twin compares to a modern one :twisted:

Forgot to say, was going to say you could practice on the Sticker by-pass, but then again you probably do.

well the bypass does come in handy and would be good to compare to modern twin, does very well against a 99 r1 adam can vouch for this :lol:

when we was playing on the a38 after plymouth my clutch was slipping, but like coming from meva that time you had the lead in the bottom end but the r1 soon catches up ;)
