By the way - you might want to make sure you have plenty of life left in your tyres or flip them before you go. (Please ignore the poor damping – that’s a different issue)

I'm there as well. Looking forward to it, and keeping fingers crossed for dry weather. Will be up in the garages (as I need to be up there to launch safely). Booked in Inters. See you there. Talan

30/30 cold which usually rises to 34 on track and in the warmers.

That day, checked them a couple of minutes after getting in and they were still at 36! (this is 1st session after lunch as an afterthought in case my tyre gauge lied at the start of the day).

Discussed it with Mark at Holbeach, who confirmed 34 hot, so took 2 psi out and when I next came in they were worse as per photo. Before then it was a third less in width.

One thought I had was as there is less tyre left/mass to dissipate the heat and they are quite a thin tyre anyway, this has added to the problem.

Tyre was also at the end of its life - on its 4th trackday and 1 race = 5 cycles.

Otherwise it is all a result of incorrect damping now that I’m going a bit quicker, i.e moved out of the window, like the braking issue.

Tomlins is quite right when he says I should slow down and the problems will go away.

have you checked your pressure guage against a couple of others? I have one that has decided to start under-reading by a couple of psi

If you guys want Spanish sunshine you should have come to Snetterton - not a cloud in the sky and 26°C for two days, it really was like being in Spain, and the track was brilliant, much better than I'd expected. I'll go so far as to say it's the best surface I've ridden on, super smooth and the new section is most excellent (they resurfaced the entire track when they laid the new bit down).
It really was great, and if they run it again next season (a strong possibility), then you guys really should make the effort to do it 8) 8) 8)
