I've got the Sidi Vertigo Gortex. Kept my feet 100% dry when they have had to. Sizing seems to be a bit bigger than normal Vertigos,so worth trying them on if you can before you purchase.(I didn't but find some thick socks pretty much sorts it out)
Morses (WSM) had a sale on last week on Sidi boots (About £70 off normal Vertigos from memory).Might be worth a call.Got mine for £200 from Helmet City after they agreed to beat E-bay.

I've always sworn by my snood and at this time of year the magazines will soon be giving them away!
A foggy insert or Pinlock is also a must for winter as well as plenty of FS365 for your bike.

i use RST trousers, Bering jacket and gloves - top kit

if i am out and it's damn cold though i use my Burton snowboarding gloves. Good protection, 100% waterproof, 100% windproof. Gauntlet style with draw string to seal around your arm, light weight, still have dexterity aswell.

Alot of them come with inserts aswell so you don't pull the lining out along with your hand. worth thinking about, also alot of them are gortex so pretty strong.

also have heated grips

When I rode through the winter (roughly 15miles each way) I used go equipped with a set of gloves that I wore all year around, a leather jacket that I also wore all year around (T-Shirt underneath) and some Sidi boots. Mostly wore my work trousers unless it was raining, then I put on some thin waterproofs over the top. Hands got a little cold, but I used to just keep moving my fingers.
