Digital speedo

Post by ZX6Rich »

Anyone know if u can get an aftermarket digital Speedo to just stick on rather than wire in? I'm thinking something along the lines of the sort of thing you can get for pushbikes...small computer on the dash and a little sensor on the wheel...

Push bike one will do but unless it's back lit, it'll fail the MoT - testers can check this but can't check if it's actually working!

There's also a Vapor one people use on trail bikes.

yes, i have one on my pit bike.

you will have to be careful where the pick up goes though as depending on where you mount it it will give a different speed. might just be better off using a tacho or getting one of those led light sets that let you know it's time to change gear.
