Bristol Classic Bike Show

Post by TLS-Moose »

Well, I was given a couple of complimentary tickets so it seemed rude not to go  Me and eldest son had a great day - lots of brilliant old bikes of all ages and origins, and plenty of bargain bits to be had too 8)

This had rested peacefully in the back of a workshop untouched since 1932, and it still turned over on the kickstart :yes

This was the one at the Bath & West Showground.

Went a couple of years ago, some very good bikes on show not to mention some nice classic jap stuff.

Only complaint were the old gits either stood in front of the displays yapping or barging their way through.

I agree completely Graham, and never cease to be amazed at the lack of manners many people exhibit at events such as this ..... :(

I also made the mistake of taking a photo of a Vincent whilst the owner was nearby - "Oh, do you know about Vincents? would you like the long talk or the short version? did you know the centre stand is reversable so you can lift the front wheel off the ground too? did you know you can remove both wheels with no need for tools at all? did you know ...... Blah, blah, blah  My son was stood about 6' away and creased up laughing at me trying to get away from the bloke ....

I made a similar mistake, was looking at an MV in Exeter recently with it's elderly owner nearby .....

Thought it was just me noticing the oldies barging their way around that show but my Dad (in his 60s) thought the same.
