Tune ECU

Post by goatpants »

I have been tinkering...... :D

Done an oil and filter change on the trumpet. Since I got the bike the throttle has been really snatchy when rolling on. I heard about this program that allows you to dial into your ECU. I bought a VAG cable from fleabay and thought I would give it a go. This software is free and allows the diagnostics of Triumph, Benelli, Aprilia and KTM Ecu's, basically Keihin and Sagem manufactured ECU's. I downloaded a new map and reset the TPS (throttle position sensor). Fortunately I know a bit about pc's and the like and this is not for the faint hearted.

No more snatchy throttle \:D/

This is free. You can change maps and stuff so if you put a race pipe on your pride and joy then upload the map for it, reset the TPS and away you go no more dealer fees to change maps :D :-bd

Hi mate,
I would normally have PM'd this but don't have enough forum kudos for privileges like that.
I have a Street Triple and am very interested in this TuneEcu. I'm not exactly faint of heart but would admit to lacking some computer skillery.

Would you consider giving a walkthru talkthru if I came down to visit with the triple?

PM a mobile if are up for that. Chees, Nick
