I was really impressed at the service i received in most shops, the staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable, their passion for bikes definately came across and it was a refreshing change from the service you receive from most sales assistants in the comet/currys/halfords stores etc.
I had no real preference as to brand - just had to be a 2 piece - Being a bit of a lanky bugger i was expecting a bit of a mission!
The day started in Taunton at V&J where i tried on a few Alpinestars suits, the first set i tried on felt really restrictive, the second set (TZ-1) felt a lot better and seemed to fit me quite well - only problem was they didnt have any in blue! (how bad am i) - The guy who was helping me was really down to earth and clued up - no pressure - just honest advice (best assistant of the day really).
Then it was on to Taylors - i was in the shop for about 30 seconds before walking out, being a small shop they had no stock - Should of gone to their Misterton branch,
Hein Gerrick was my next port of call, where i was immediately greeted by a young lad (called xavier i think) he was really helpful, only problem was the stock seemed to be very limited, and there was nothing in my size apart from their own brand stuff which didnt appeal to me because of a)the design and b)not heard anything good about it (not heard anyhting bad either)
From there it was off to exeter where Bridge was the only port of call (mainly because i didn't know where anywhere else was!) - The service again was fault less and i was impressed by their choice, I was imediately drawn to the Dainese 2 pieces - in particular the Kirishima, I tried it on and it felt very comfortable, it seemed to have very good protection and afforded me a good level of movement, and it fitted in with my new bikes colour scheme!
From there it was off down to Plymouth where i went round a mates so he could be my tour guide to the bike shops! I went to a couple of small retailers (cant remember which ones) and looked at similar stuff to earlier, and then it was on to J&S, I was impressed by the stock range they carried ( but not impressed by the fact it was freezing in there), and spent a good while trying on suits, but nothing felt as good as the dainese set that i tried on earlier.
By now it was about time to go to the pub with my mate, unfortunately as i had to drive home i stuck to Coke, but hey, still better than nothing!
So after a bit of deliberation that evening and discussing with my other half - I decided to go for the Dainese's - So up early and another drive to exeter and I was now the proud owner of a set of Dainese Kirishima's - and a set of matching Dainese Slam gloves.

Cant wait til Tuesday to pick up the bike
