The rider injured on the Kerswell Rd was the one I posted about the other day and the one on Shaldon Rd I was told about by a friend, it was a friend of his. If it is then it was his own fault for being pi$$ed up amongst other things and riding like a total moron. By all accounts he's lost one arm, may lose the other and may not walk again due to the pelvic injuries. Not good, he's only 20ish.
But still a goodly reminder to us all to be extra vigilant now the weathers turned nice and there are distraction walking alongside the road....... I know I'm guilty of that one!!!! 8)

Unfortunatley the one on the kerswell road was his own fault also. He was motoring down the road at at least 40-50mph in heavy traffic around the rush hour period. Somebody had let a vehicle out of the barn owl turning and the bike was going too fast to see it and the poor person driving couldnt do anything to stop the accident. By all accounts he flew a good 10 foot and landed right next to one of my customers cars! she was pretty upset to see it all happen.

Sometimes its not the driver of the car's fault a biker gets hit!! I hope the guy gets well soon but also that bikers read the road conditions and traffic enviornment a lot better before they hare up the road!!

Im as guilty as the next guy for probably trying to filter too fast so not preaching!

Coming through that stretch this afternoon during the rush hour and a bike came weaving down the central chevrons doing a good 20-30 mph more than the traffic. Once again, if anyone moved towards the centre-line or pulled out of a side road, he wouldn't of stood a chance......
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Handle stressful situations like a dog - If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away
