It'll either make or break him.
If he wins on it he will have proved he's a god, If he doesn't he hasn't got the clout that Rossi had to get another top ride.
I really wish him well, but If Ducati don't build him a competitive bike at least he'll make a couple of quid. :)):

Seems like Yamaha offered him more money and quite abit for him,but he wanted a guarantee of a factory ride in 2015 but they wouldn't commit so far ahead :?

Lets just hope if they dont get the bike sorted it doesnt damage him phycs-------- ( mess up his head ) cant spell that long word i wanted, like it apparently did to Melandri.

It amazes me how Haydon still has confidence and able to push on it. :ymapplause:

Hopefully it means that Audi will give Ducati the funds they need to make the bike right. Dovi's ride isn't safe either apparently as Audi are looking for proven race winners or 'aliens'.

So that'll be Espagaro to Tech 3 then.

Well at least we should see Cal on the front row, it appears the Ducati is good for at least one hot lap.

Dovi has won a total of ten Grands Prix so far; five in 125s (including winning the championship in 2004), four in 250s (2nd overall in 2007) and one in MotoGP. He's also had a total of 63 podiums. In comparison, Cal has won Jack, nada, nichts, rien... Will we see a repeat of last season with Cal following Dovi for most of the race and unable to pass him when on the same bike? There will be no more "I need a factory bike" excuses available then, and how will he feel watching Bradley and Pol beating him on the Tech 3s?
Sure, he's getting the status and money that his ego craves, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if he's had four podium places by this time next year. The bike was never mastered by Rossi, Hayden, Dovi, Melandri or Capirossi (how many wins and championships do they have between them in comaprison with Cal?), only Stoner was able to get it to work and he was prepared to push it harder than anyone else, but the fine line between winning and crashing became ever finer and he fell off more because they wouldn't listen to him and get it to work as he wanted.
I really hope that he does well, but the signs aren't good. He's already prone to throwing all his toys out of the pram if his M1 isn't perfect for him, so Ducati management had better do a Risk Assessment for working in a garage that's ankle deep in flung toys....

=)) =)) =)) Cheers Scotty, made me laugh lots that :ymapplause:

And to be honest, I agree with you. Going for the money is a very risky career choice. But I hope he does well as, no offence to Bradders, but I'm not holding my breath for a race win there any time soon.
