MotoGP- waffle and armchair punditry

Post by badgerKDD »

Sooooooo.........Sunday eh??

Brilliant Moto2 race, Redding did really well, rode with skill and maturity and totally deserved the win. Have to say Nakagami did a great job too, he's definitely coming into his own over the these last few races. Brilliant :D !

Now the big one, Lorenzo versus Marquez, edge of seat for those last few laps, whilst Dani? well, I had high hopes for him this year, I genuinely thought he could take the championship at the start of the season. I wonder how long Honda will support him, especially with Bradl stepping up his game and Bautista taking it to Rossi every race since the break?

Finally, our great white hope Cal. Is this a case of 'careful what you wish for' syndrome, the long awaited new fuel tank seems to have buggered up the bike more than the stopping problem he had before? Personally I reckon he should go back to the settings he had before the break and get back on the podium.......possibly! Or can it be that every one else has had new parts and have all stepped up their pace and the satellite M1 is now showing its failings?

Maybe its like I said to Burnthouse on Sunday afternoon, is it just a case of Cal practising for his move to Ducati, good qualifying, crap race result :)) !!

Either way I hope he sorts it out by Misano ( I think that's next?) and gets back to the front where he's shown he can run comfortably. Go on Cal, do it for the Brits :-bd !

I hope Cal can get back on track but to be fair with Marq showing the form he is it's gonna take one he'll of a show from anyone to shine out at the moment. :ymapplause: I know everyone is saying it but the boy has really got talent. Personally I would love to see Scott get Dani's ride and as if he can challenge Marq. Ho hum, well I can dream cant I?

A few of us went up for it,

Awesome race, shame that marquez dislocated his collar bone in warm up in a crash but still gave lorrenzo a battle,
As for crutchlow I think his race was more damage limitation, already chucked both bikes in fp3 on saterday,
(Both quite spectacularly to add)

Pedrosa did do well, I think if he stuck with them in the earlier laps he could have had a better shot,

As for moto2 scott redding did do well and a good battle mid race for the lead egged him on a bit,
Was abad crash in moto2 warm up which caused a red flag, (its on youtube)

Will be looking forward to the next race now!

Its funny with the new Yamaha tank as the old one was a bit more forward heavy apparently which Rossi prefers and was more suited to cal's riding. Still if Yamaha says have this the sattelite teams can't really argue.

With cal now leaving for Ducati I have a funny feeling we'll gradually see him sliding down the table as yamah cut their losses and do not want to give the game away for next season.

Redding has really matured over the course of last season and this season. I hope he gets a decent Moto GP ride as last season in Moto 2, him and Marquez were great entertainment (especially Suzuka).

With Marquez it is funny how 'elbows' is the way to ride the big bikes, with a couple of years ago Spies being told to change his style from this...

Shame Spies went too far with it though, from elbow down to both collarbones down ;) !

i enjoyed the race, they went around corners, down straights and all stopped at the end. :)): i was especially happy to see that all the riders listened to what i had to say in the briefing and how it improved their technical performance.

That's all I have to say about that.
