I'm guessing going into the inside lane to undertake cars in both lanes 1 & 2 wouldn't have helped his case either ......

Otherwise, there didn't look to be anything particularly "dangerous" about his riding in clear, bright, conditions. Still think unmarked cars aren't really "playing the game" when marked cars instantly reduce road speeds (along with the Highways Agency "Traffic Officers)

What really annoys me is the sentencing of such "crimes" - a) they are treated like, and often more severe than, if you'd assaulted someone and b) very much at the vagaries of the judge on the day, the region you're in, what recent road activity/accident rates have been like, and whether you have a posh car/accent/school tie ..... There should be a national, published, standard based on percentage above the limit with factors for weather and traffic volume on the day
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Handle stressful situations like a dog - If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away

Totally agree with having a standard set of rules - it seems that many more serious offences are treated less severely.

Wonder if I can find the video of the police car, no blues and twos, overtaking me while I'm doing 77mph?
Wonder what they will say about that

I expect they'll thank you for admitting speeding and give you 3 points and a £60 fine :)): They'll always have a reason/excuse for doing what they are doing.

I wonder if it would be legal to set up a site of reg numbers, descriptions and maybe photos of unmarked cars.

On another forum I am on we did do a fair size list of naming and shaming the unmarked police cars,
Some of which were quite weird and wonderful "bait" cars

Nothing got said about it as it was just a informationial post, (plus bought and paid for buy the tax payer)

I will always remeber the r reg vw passat which was in a gay green colour which was used buy devon and Cornwall
Fully lighted up as a a30 runner car.

As for the biker there is a time and a place for everything,
Ive been banned once for speeding, went to caught, wrist slapped and live and learn,
(Not to get caught lol)

The sneakiest one I have seen was on the M3 a couple of years ago. An orange Focus ST. It looked like it was purposely tailgating a young driver, to goad him into speeding. The young driver moved over for it - it was only then the police car lit up it's blues and took off.
