I have ridden lots of bikes over the years from single cylinder 500's balls out race bikes and some traillie types including scooters..
Damn its tall.....ok I am only 5'7'' but its a stretch to get my foot on the floor (Honda do a lowered seat £* cost option of course) Handle bars are wide apart and grips seem thin. (could be me, spoilt with heated grips currently)
Storage space where fuel tank should be is big enough for my flip lid just don't put the fuel nozzle in there! also fits (not at same time as lid) pair walking boots, flask, lunch box, rucksack containing everything else in my life
so M5 to Taunton direct route, no wind protection, hands cold, NO BUFFETING
hits rev limiter very easy without seeming to make the progress the CBF does. I do like the sound of the 2 cylinder.
Time to come home again after a hard days work, so off M5 at Wellington and via Tiverton to find something a bit more motorbike friendly.
Completely different beast, certainly I hit the rev limiter often buts thats me being used to a 4 Cylinder, The lower centre of gravity is noticeably better for cornering
I liked the digital dash and the gear indicator, for a bike sold on its MPG, i had no worries filled with fuel at Cullumpton and hasn't moved from full yet, I would like to see a MPG readout on the display.
so big question would I buy one?...........
Currently Honda offer 0% finance and the bike is cheap to buy as a basic option. Would have to price up all the extras I was thinking i would need!? ....Lowered seat,Centre stand, panniers/top box, heated grips, hand guards, front fender extender, hugger etc
I like my CBF, I tell everyone i meet its probably the best allround bike I have owned...fuel economy is pants....but has a massive fuel tank to compensate. Might need to look at doing something with exhaust thats all.
I think on balance if i didnt have the CBF i might think about it more seriously but for now Black Betty is going to be safe in my garage and looking forward to some rideouts with you horrible lot
