Found this posted on another forum, turns out that a group were on loaner bikes from a local Bike shop, bit of promotion to take to Brands Hatch for the BSB meet.
When they got back, two brand new S1000RRs had gone walkies. Turns out 4 in their group lost bikes that day. The Police were called but turns out bike theft at there big days is a good sport.
Lesson to be learnt - always take good locks and deterrents or make sure yours is the crapest bike in the group.

Re: Bike thefts at race meets
I went to the MotoGp at Le Man a few years ago
They had simple security that worked
Just a two [art ticked for the area you chose to park at.
No access for vans and every bike checked as it left the bike park
Not Fool proof but it worked as far as I could see

Re: Bike thefts at race meets
There is another parking area, real pain to get out, but TOP for security, you have to show the reg doc of the bike.PeterM wrote:I went to the MotoGp at Le Man a few years ago
