Meal @ The Globe **POLL* please read!

Post by Smiler »

Hi all :)):

I cant quite believe how many of you are coming along to this on the 21st! 26!!!!!!!

Anyways, in the past when we've had much fewer folk come along to these socials, we have simply split the bill evenly by however many are there.....but, I'm going to put it to a vote

a) Split the bill

or

b) Trust you all to be honest enough to put in your share?

I thought it only fair to ask you all given the amount of people coming!

Oh and fantastic to see SWB members also bringing their better halves too :ymhug: you're lovely you lot! :)):

Is there any option of paying at the till when ordering kinda thing?
Rather than the hastle of splitting the bill at the end??

Split the food bill at the end. Pay your own way with the drinks as you buy them.

Ian, total divided by 26. Easy

on a personal note with so many it could messy in my opinion if we split at the end if everyone pays for there own theres no falling out about whos had what and how many pints some have had compared to others have always found splitting the bill at the end works well with smaller numbers but not 26 !!!!

Haven't voted for either option I'm afraid, because as Mark says, splitting the bill gets awkward when the group gets so large, as there will be "nominated drivers" who won't drink, etc., ...... i'd also suggest perhaps speak to the Pub and ask how they would prefer the food to be ordered, and how practical it would be for them to take individual orders? (I guess it would also mean "partners" might be forced to sit beside each other  )

Otherwise, make it clear to staff and attendee's that no drinks are to be added to the food bill (buy as you go/drink) and split the food bill equally - I suspect the food bill is likely to be more even than the drinks bill ........
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Excellent....as all of you have said, because of the large numbers this time I think it makes perfect sense to pay for your meals/drinks at the bar.

Thanks all, trying to make it fair for everyone and felt it best to just ask!!! :)):
