Back on the ZX10R after winter mods

Post by Jimbo04zx10r »

Hi Guys

I've been away from here for a long time :( been catching up with some modifications to the 10. The winter months have allowed me to finally spend sometime with the old girl and tinker with her bits in the garage.

The 10 has now been fitted with:

* Robby moto quick action throttle
* Rethenal clip-on's
* Brembo 19 RCS radial brake lever
* Brembo clutch lever
* New Hel brake pipes
* Brembo M4 mono block calipers
* Brembo 320mm discs
* Translogic quickshifter

and over the next week some decals. I'm hoping to have it all ready for the BMAD bike festival and hopefully be able to make it over to a Teignmouth bike night.

cheers James

Nice mods. I also have a 04 10, great bike. A quick action throttle turns an 04 into an animal, instant power!! I put a basic one on (Rifeman 1/5) mine.
Quickshifter is something I could do with definitely. Be good to meet up or come along to next ride out.

Looks sweet

What rear end have you fitted to the back? and does that rear end fit on the standard rear sub-frame? Also see your running a rear thumb brake how do you get on with that set up? and finally how do you get on with the BST carbon Wheels?

Sorry for all the questions just interested in your mods :D

The rear end is standard my ten is the 2006 2007 model, it has the swing arm off a 2010 zx10r cut and braced. The thumb brake was cool on corners but a pain in the arse on hills to pull away have gone back to standard rear foot brake now,the wheels are mad you wouldn't believe how light they are cornering and acceleration you can tell the difference
