So here we are, parked in silverstone carpark waiting to get in.

It's raining, a nice tepid 9° and it looks like when we get let in it's gonna be wacky races.

I'll post up picks during the day of rain, depressed riders and soaking leather. Sometimes all in one photo.

I shall be drinking plenty of tea today.

Rotten luck for all those involved. Stopped raining here about 11.30, then very windy for a bit, then sun came out.
Probably clearing up over there about now.

Hi All,

Just a quick post to say thanks for your hospitality in garage 9 today. Always a bit strange if you go to a track day on your own, but was made to feel like I was part of the SWB crew. (I guess Jersey is sort of South West)

Having travelled over from Jersey, I was gutted that the weather was not on our side today. Never mind, here's to next time.

I will have to have another go at a UK track day soon. (Despite your rubbish weather) ;)

Cheers again.

Ben

...or you could invite all the SWB s over for tea in Jersey.

Was there once only - 1966 - watched the world cup (soccer) at our Grève d'Azette hotel.

Well...That was an interesting one, being in inters I got to go out and do 3 sighting laps, not much sighting going on as couldn't really see where the track went  They made the right decision to cancel the day. 10/10 to No Limits for their customer service - that's why I like them :-bd

Cheers peeps for all the help with changing my wheels to the wets, have a bit more of an idea on how to do this than before (all the gear and a bit more of an idea now hehe) and thanks for an entertaining few hours in the garage.

Before anyone else grasses me up for my 'idiot moments'
1. Didn't notice my back tyre had been changed to a wet despite doing the tyre pressure on front and looking at rear at least a couple of times (did spot lack of spacer though  )
2. Not realising there was a sink behind me and cleaning the tea spoon for my porridge with a bit of spit and my jumper.
3. Missing the fact that there was a toilet in the garage! Did spot it in the end before the treck across the paddock in the piddling rain.
4. Putting a hoodie on back to front doesn't work!

Nice to meet you Ben and all UK track days are not that bad with the weather :)) hope you have a good journey back and maybe see you at another one.

Massive thank you to Smiler for the transport there and back ^:)^ think Arnie and Blackie are good van buddies haha. and I'm sorry about the 'green fog' moments in the van =))

When's the next SWBers track outing then???

=)) Sam, nearly lost me eyebrows to that one mate!!! =)) =))

Oh well, cant do anything about weather and as already said, NL made exactly the right decision in cancelling the day. Its no fun bumbling around in the rain just for the sake of it, but this was pretty torrential and dangerous!

Great to meet you Ben, I hope we get to hook up at another UK track soon (or......even a Euro one? ) Red lollies or yellow lollies..??

Still had a fun time! You lot make I larf!!! :)): :)): :ymhug:
