Re: National motorcycle museum
Thanks for the heads up. We are in Bristol so it's a possibility. In a car though which feels wrong;-)

Still a BMW F650CS but what lightweight tourer will I get when I need a new one?

I'd rather pay the entry when passing next rather than make a special journey for free entry, not to mention lots of other people there for a free day.
TBH I've been there a couple of times, whilst there's a lot there, it probably won't mean much unless you are interested in showroom original standard British bikes - ie 6 or 7 different Vincent Rapides, different because they are each a year apart - imagine a line of 92, 93, 94, 95, 96 Fireblades and you get the picture.
Sammy Millers Museum is something special with a lot of unusual stuff ie 4 cylinder 50cc bike, radial engine bike, racers, cross sectioned motors, just lots of 'wow - look at that' things.

I'm there on 4th November. For a convention I have to attend!
