All right own up who was it

Police crackdown on motorists Torbay

The joint initiative saw 45 police officers in marked and unmarked police cars arresting motorists for a wide variety of offences – including a motorcyclist who allegedly performed a wheelie in front of an unmarked police car at a Torquay zebra crossing as pedestrians waited.

If they wheelied whilst stationary at a crossing that's no motorcycle. Scooter maybe?

So, 45 officers, 21 cars, and they recorded 30-odd offences in one day. No information as to whether some were multiple offences for one person (drug, no tax/insurance, vehicle seized, etc.,).

That's less than one offence per officer, and barely one pull per police car, in a whole day, and that counts as a "high rate of crime"? I would have thought there were better uses of such resources ......

Based on this evidence I think the Devon & Cornwall constabulary can make some more cuts. I'm thinking in the number of traffic police and unmarked cars!!
