Fireblade
Collected my new bike today. Okay so it's de-tuned and re-badged and it's a cbf1000. Yep. nothing like a blade. Anyway, very suited to a slow plodder of an oldun like me. Now I can go slow on an even heavier bike
. Hopefully I won't have to push it anywhere - I am only just able to put it on it's centre stand
Re: Fireblade
So have you chopped in your hornet then??
Hope your happy with it

Re: Fireblade
An under rated bike.
Enjoy running it in.

Re: Fireblade
The Hornet had to go even though It is probably the easiest bike out there to ride.
I had a CBF600 a few years back and knew it was a great pillion bike, so I thought I would get the bigger version.
There are new emission rule changes again next January so there will be no more CBF1000 in it's current form. Although my bike is newly registered it is probably 3 years old (there is still unsold stock which they keep quiet about).
I know that I am not getting the most uptodate technology, but it's a CBF and it is never going to set the world alight.
It will do me just fine

Re: Fireblade
And WHERE are the pics?
Nice one Tom, I've a couple of mates had them and yes they aren't Fireblades but very capable bikes and bulletproof + well built too ....and you'll be able to move after a rideout ! Some of these creaky lot need more WD40 for themselves than their bikes!!!

Re: Fireblade
Got my eye on one of these...

Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?
Re: Fireblade
I bet a few people were wxpection to see the CB1000 single sided swinging arm jobbie!
There's a set of paniers & topbox for sale locally if you need them, wrong colour though.

Re: Fireblade
Thanks Graham, I bought the GT which comes with extras including the panniers. I use the top box but doubt if the panniers will ever see the light of day.
I made sure I got the packing boxes to store them
'Single sided swinging arm' -
- this model is even heavier than the mk1 !
