You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.
Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Just to add to the thanks. Was a great ride. Seemed like everybody was happy and seemed to be a good pace to accommodate all. Weather not too bad but bike was very dirty by the time we were done. Great route and I think there was about 20 of us all together.
The new friendly ride out system worked a lot better then last year using the drop off system and well done Mark for keeping us all together.
Special thanks to Tractorwackyracer for leading (although I think you need a name change again to KTMmudplugger)
And Mellowyellow for being TEC
Have quite a few photos I took and also some from red5 that I will get into photobucket and post and also get on the SWB Facebook page so keep an eye out for yourself

Additional...
They've made a great job of the difficult resurfacing at Porlock, and kindly vacated not many hours before we arrived.
Still quite daunting though as they have not changed the cambers.

friendlies normalu use a group of nominated markers kata, remember the arm bands?
after the fiasco of last summer rideout and the s##t i got over it we had a few threads runnign about how to make it work and then there was as large post made about how we would use a different method to try nd keep the riders together in future without people feeling they have to ride out of their comfort zones. Also a way of introducing a method of getting riders to be aware of who is around them and looking out for them instead of just bimbling along blindly.

Re: Cobweb ride, Sunday March 19th 2017
The sensible and experienced markers know who they are and do a fine job. The problem with the armbands, I feel, was that certain of those given them treated them as a licence to impose their new-found 'powers' on lesser mortals whist acting aggressivley. A bit like giving some peeps a bunch of keys or a uniform.
In a small (11 or 12) charity ride last year. I managed to mark 3 of the first 4 junctions without doing anything untoward or upsetting anyone. On the other side of the coin, with a larger group, I found myself behind the leader approaching a major mark. A few yards before I could stop, a designated JM roared past me, pulled in sharply and nearly had me off.
It's not armbands that are the trouble, nor is it designating JMs. It's people !
O tempora o mores.

I was one of the ones that went wrong at the start although I saw someone stopped on the slip road back towards Tiverton I thought they were maybe waiting for someone. I just carried on following the bike in front. I looked at the map on page 2 before I left and thought that was the way we were going, maybe others did that too

Tiz a wonderful thing about these group rides. Something ALWAYS happens.
When I reached that junction, jer R1 pulled me in and explained that some had gone the wrong way. I asked him to remain and also went the wrong way. I found a roundabout with no marker and only one way to continue. Went back, picked up the Jm and off we went.
I reckon we had lost 7 or 8. Later into the ride was a long, slightly downhill straight bit with a left bend at the bottom. I counted 23 bikes...weird or wott. They had managed to loop round and rejoin. Well done say I.
