Jay Donington Park Round 1 Endurance result

Post by Jay »

HI all......

Well what a fab weekend....
Started the weekend with a trackday at Donny on Thursday to blow off the cobwebs and get use to the bike again on track, as it has been 18 months.
loads of red flags throughout Thursday but our lot were not amongst them.

Saturday, we 40 mins of qualifying and Pete and i qualified 34th......
Race result was 25th overall but 8th in our class, so to say we are chuffed is an understatement.
during the race Pete was pushed into the gravel but stayed upright, that knocked his confidence for a few laps...but he got back into it.
My quickshifter started to play up in mt first 45 minute stint.... so a little fiddle and out in my second 45 minute stint and it just didn't work, so back to the old way of using the clutch. but all that aside our quickest lap was 1:19 (National Circuit) which was 6 seconds quicker than qualifying.

Great to see SHAMMY there on the 765 and going really well. and alos good to see Shelia too :)

Next round is Cadwell in 2 1/2 weeks :)

Fantastic result Jay ๐Ÿ‘ 45 minute stints is good going, I normally start to look for the board after 20 ๐Ÿ˜‚ I quite like the National Layout at Donington.
See you at Cadwell ๐Ÿ˜Ž
