You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Spirited ride to Boscastle Saturday 24th

Post by menzies3032 »

Hi All

Can’t believe that I have not organised / lead a ride this year but there has been so much going on just tagged onto one of your rides instead......

So as I am not traveling or away (for a change) thought its time to get one sorted.

Leaving Bridge Motorcycles in Exeter at 7:30am then going through mid Devon and heading into Boscastle in North Cornwall. There is a hotel on the river front which does a great breakfast (so put your name down so I can ring and book a table for us) then heading back.

This ride will be a spirited ride so will be looking to make progress. However (even if we have small numbers) I will be running the drop off and TEC configuration for this ride to ensure that nobody gets lost and nobody is left behind. (Anybody wanting to volunteer for TEC duties would be welcome)

I need to be back home in Teignmouth by latest 1pm so will be back in Exeter for 12:30.

Anybody want to join me???????

Just spoken to the riverside hotel in Boscastle where we are heading for breakfast. As they have to serve residents of the hotel first they can not take a booking but happy for us to just turn up. Might mean we need to go for a quick walk if the are busy before we can have breakfast but should be all good.

Surely if you keep sight of the bike behind you in your mirrors ( always good practice ) you'll all be fairly similar pace. You're only as fast as your slowest rider.

Jer R1 this is how I would run a normal ride but not taking any chances on a spirited ride. I want to make sure nobody gets lost and everybody is looked after.
