Bristol Bike Theft Awareness

Post by MellowYellow »

A non-profit, volunteer group founded quite recently to combat, in conjunction with A & S police, the theft of bikes in the Bristol area. They work 24 hrs and have recovered many bikes.
Also organise massive protest rides around the area.

Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

This morning I received multiple calls and e-mails from various members of the group.

A Bristol biker saw my Bird outside his house this morning, thought it suspicious and reported it to the police and BBTA.

One of their members rode to the site and intended to stay there as sentry in case the perps came back. They and I were trying to find transport and they won. Collected it, brought it to my house and put it back up the pavement into my pathway.

A few words of advice on security and off they went, no charge. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..

They came back a third time.

Went out a few days later to find the cover on the floor and all the clips broken.

Foiled they were....I'd completely removed the clip ons.

Well done Larry, another result. Perhaps removing the complete bike by selling it might be an even better result  .
