He was unlucky to hit the horse but it could have been a lot worse.

I was riding through Plymbridge to work yesterday ( on my bicycle  ) when I came around a corner and found 5 or 6 deer in the road  .

Luckily some went left and some right and I went through the middle.

Also had a deer jump out of a hedge by Wrigleys and run along side me when I was on the scooter. I could have reached out and touched it. Luckily it jumped back in the hedge again.

I hope the guy who owned the foal gets a huge fine  ... poor animal

At least the biker wasn't too badly hurt ... could've been much worse :(

Question is, What happens about ins ? He has a broken leg, Cant work, I bet his bike is fecked. It's not his fault, But unless he's fully comp he may get nothing... Except a broken leg and a broken bike.

Sadly that's called "Tough s**t" :( lol

I think strictly speaking, he could sue the owner for not having the animial properly contained... but it wouldn't be a straight forward case that's for sure.

Even if fully comp the insurance company would probably claim it as "Act of God"

Reminds me of a storey posted into Fast Bikes mag. Few guys having a bit of a dabble through some B roads, leader went round a blind bend doing 100mph. What he didnt know was that there was a deer crossing. Did'nt get a chance to slow down, and drove through the deer, slicing it in half. He claimed that he didnt fall off, but put his leg through his fairing and got his new ?G3000 blue/white leathers coverd in deer blood.
