Could be.
It's simple folks, some are night owls, some are early birds, some are flexible, others, for whatever reason, are not.
So go on the rides that suit you, or organise your own.

Early evening rides suit me following a day 'working' if that's what it is. Very relaxing - until you find yourself riding west as the sun goes down. Or the Earth rotates, for pedants.

Why not just keep riding east, keeping the sun at your back? The worst that can happen is you eventualy fall off the end of Terra Firma. It's true, that's what would happen. These people have the proof!

Re: Are you an early riser?
When we aren’t limited on max numbers I wonder how practicable it might be to have early start rides for the early birds with a second convenient joining point a few hours later for those who have a liking for their bed. Could be a win-win maybe ... but those with more experience of organising routes would know better than me.

Me and Jay actually did this last year..... or was it 2019... yup think it was 2019. I started a ride in Exeter early and went across Devon into Cornwall then Jay lead the ride from Cornwall back to Devon again. The people who started in Devon then stopped and the people who started in Cornwall went back to Cornwall. 2 different starting points, 2 different rides but one meet up for cooked breakfast. worked well
