Careful of the A39 in Somerset

Post by menzies3032 »

Hi all

I have been contacted through the SWB Facebook page by somebody who follows the page and wanted to give a warning about the A39 as it seems it has turned into a muddy death trap.

Careful out there people.

The Facebook page is used to promote ride outs and meet up and only myself and Moose are able to post (anybody can comment or like) or people can send a private message. We have just over 1500 followers of the page and every now and then we get messages about promoting things or requests how to join and me and Moose point them to here on the forum. So yes reasonably active.

i cycle part of that road every day, new houses going up all over the place so dumpers and delivery lorries dragging mud and stones out onto the road with impunity, no sign of a road sweeper anywhere, which common sense says would be part of the contract before any building could take place ?
i only do the Bridgwater to Cannington bit which is bad, cant comment on the Cannington to Nether Stowey part, but the farmers around here dont seem to have a care in the world so i can imagine its bad
